The Waterbus is a sustainable and reliable way for you to access the eastern and western shores of Loch Lomond. With departure points from Tarbet, Inversnaid, Luss, Balmaha and Rowardennan we can help you explore the walks and cycle routes around the loch.

Bookable from 3 May - 28 Sep 2025 (Sat,Sun and Mon only) 

Join our boat at the Rowardennan Youth Hostel jetty and enjoy the 30 min crossing to the conservation village of Luss. Look out for osprey and sea eagles along the way.

Rowardennan Pontoon

GPS / Satnav: Rowardennan Car Park, G63 0AR
This departure point is on the eastern side of Loch Lomond and accessed via the road from Balmaha. Parking is available at the pay car park at Ben Lomond Car Park, you then walk north for 10 minutes to the Rowardennan Youth Hostel where the pontoon is situated. There are toilet facilities at the Ben Lomond Car Park.

What is included in a Family Ticket?
A family ticket is for 2 adults and 2 children aged between 5-15 years.
Where can we buy tickets?
We strongly suggest purchasing cruise tickets online prior to arrival to avoid disappointment. Tickets can also be purchased at various locations around the Loch, the Luss Village Shop, the Balmaha Village Shop and Oak Tree Inn, Tarbet Ticket Office and VisitScotland Information Centres.
Do the vessels have disabled access?
Cruise Loch Lomond strives to offer assistance to passengers with reduced mobility. Please state your specific needs at the time of booking and contact us for additional information on 01301 702 356.
Is there parking?
There is paid parking at all departure points. *In the busy summer months we recommend you arriving with plenty of time prior to departure to secure a parking space.
Are there toilets on board?
Yes there are toilets at all departure points and on board each vessel.
Are cruises and the waterbus child friendly?
All children are very welcome.
Is there any concession offered?
Yes there is a £1 reduction for a concession on the adult fare.
Can you take bikes on board?
Yes, bikes are welcome. We have racks on board – there is a charge of £3.00 per bike and £5.00 per e-bike. Please can we ask that all panniers and batteries are removed from bikes prior to boarding. 
Can we take our dog on the cruise?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome on board free of charge but must be kept under control at all times. Advice from The National Park is to keep your dog under close control especially during the breeding season (1 April to 1 August).
Is a commentary offered?
There is live, informative commentary from our skippers on all cruises with translations offered.
Are there refreshments available?
There are full bar facilities on board with tea, coffee and snacks also available.
Do the boats have safety equipment on board?
All vessels are fully Marine Coastguard Agency compliant and have open reversible life-rafts and lifejackets for everyone on board, including infant lifejackets.
